What was Vegeta talking about?

When he was arguing that they could beat 1st Form Freeza if they fought together, he said that Gohan had power he wasn't even aware of. Was he talking about his enraged power or his normal power? Later, when Gohan got angry, Vegeta acted as if he didn't know about his enraged power.

Vegeta was talking about his, Gohan and Krillin's power being constantly increasing and he hoped that Gohan would be enraged, he just didn't expect his Enraged power to go that far.

Talked about his potential, some of which he could release when he was angry.

He obviously wasn’t expecting Gohan to get that strong. Probably thought Gohan would stay below him even with his potential fully realized, be it via Guru’s unlock or rage.
