How does SSJR work in the manga? Goku Black says it's because of a god turning Super Saiyan Blue turns the hair pink, but Zamasu isn't technically a God, he's still a Kaioshin apprentice. And what determines a God, Goku can use God Ki, can even transform into Super Saiyan God, so why isn't he considered a God?

Kaios are still gods, just not gods of the highest caliber like Hakaishin and Kaioshin. Goku is considered a mere mortal using god ki.

The Potara works limited other than when a Kaioshin uses it. So even the likes of Kaiohs, Kami etc., are limited to fusion. :idk

The wording is pretty blunt, Zamasu isn't a God. Toyo treats Gods in all forms as nothing more than titles which mortals can gain, which is pretty inline with how the series treats them.

I think what Vegito said was that Zamasu is not a KAIOSHIN yet which was the twist of the story during that time. Zamasu is still a Kaioh aka God but not in the level (Kaioshin) for Potara to work perfectly for him.

He said you're no different from a mortal, which is why the Potara doesn't treat him any differently from any other mortal. Because Zamasu never became a God, he went on his rampage too early.

Other than a Kaioshin, the Potara works to other beings similar how it works to mortals aka limited. So the Potara works the same with Kaiohs, Kamis, mortal etc. :idk

Yes. It works on official Gods. As Vegetto, even Gowasu stated, Zamasu is not a God. There is no difference between him and a mortal.

Vegeta meant that God = Kaioshin, not God as Kaioh

There are different types of Gods in Dragon Ball due to their status. Zamasu is a God (Kaioh) but it takes to be a Kaioshin (which is far above of Kaioh) for Potara to work perfectly. Perhaps a better translation would do.

Eh, probably. I personally think Toyo just came up with it at the last second to add even a hint of complexity to Zamasu's character.

The context is that the Potara makes no differentiation in his case, since he never ascended to being Kaioshin.

Similarly, Hakaishin (true gods) would also suffer from the 1 hour time limit since they aren't Kaioshin. Not all gods are cut from the same cloth
