I personally reject SSJ Kid Trunks and replace it with Trunks becoming SSJ at Gohan's death like in the special.

I think Super Saiyan around Goku's level being the minimum sounds about right. It was still very hard for Vegeta to pull off years later so I just go with that.

They would have to clearly be at a decent power level otherwise it would make no sense. Trunks as a Super Saiyan fighting Base Gohan shows that the Base Level does not have to be in the millions but pretty dang high compared to an average Saiyan.

Gohan(1 arm): 3,250,000
Super Saiyan Trunks: 2,700,000
Base Trunks: 54,000

@p123 Vegeta and Goku needed an extreme emotional trigger to Transform. Goku had to watch his best friend murdered in front of him while being helpless. Vegeta's was an all consuming passion to be stronger and when he felt helpless he transformed. Future Trunks being a hybrid probably had an easier time of it just like his present counterpart. He just was weaker than his present day timeline.

Also how can we just disregard part of the Manga just because we dont like it? Couldnt we just do that with anything shown then? I do though prefer the anime.

This kid is damn weak, even by Saiyans's standards. That said, so was Goku at his age (though at a lesser degree). Then...well, just look at him:

Maybe Goku (Jr) has a similar potential.

If you admit to Goku Jr being weaker than DB Goku, how can you justify Goku not becoming Super Saiyan at Krillin's death? Or other emotional moments in the series before Namek?

I think the consensus is that everyone thinks Trunks attaining Super Saiyan at Gohan's death is better. Like no one thinks the other way. I wouldn't say do it all the time, but once in a blue to make things better, it's probably necessary.

Same thing with Base Gotenks Post > Super Saiyan Gotenks Pre, fuck that noise.
