Now I don't like to bring that evil upon people, but it's not like it hasn't been asked before anyway.

For me, I'd like the series goes-on for years and years. I know some people might not like that though.

I know they are already fighting the Yonkos now. Those are said to be the 4 strongest pirates right?! So is the end near?

Approximately when is the series ending? Is the end in-sight?

I don't think Eiichiro Oda is like that. He doesn't do that only for the money. Now Weekly-Shounen-Jump I can definitely see asking him to keep making the series, even when he doesn't want to anymore, since that's the top money-spinner over there.

No, I'm not kidding Shonen featured in Weekly-Shonen-Jump are all made to have the capabilities of going on forever until the sales become too low, and they're taken off. Or, if you're like Akira Toriyama who's worked 11 fucking years (Fucking hell that's a long time) and are tired of it, and end it. That's how I see One Piece ending.

One-Piece has been going-on longer, though. This year is the 20th Anniversary.

They are getting raped by Yonko crew members so probably a long ways yet. There is still much to tie up even after Luffy becomes Pirate King.

What would be there after that? I'd assume everything gets cleared-up before they find the One-Piece. Wouldn't it make sense to end the series with Luffy becoming Pirate-King?

Only 4 of them. And Shanks they don't even have to fight, or I'd assume it wouldn't be life or death situation.

What'd they be able do, after they presumably have become strong enough to defeat the 4 strongest pirates out-there? It'd seem anti-climatic to come after all that, but yeah it makes sense I guess.

Is Toei part of OP right? Then it won't end even if the author ends it, Toei will just continue it like how they did with GT. :toei

If we take Oda's statement of the end of Part 1 being the halfway point as fact, it ought to end at roughly 120 volumes. There's also Oda stating that after Dressrosa, OP was about 65% complete. Seems like a good estimate of ending it, considering Luffy and the Monster Trio will probably gain some kind of training from the Wano and Elbaf Arcs to make them top tiers, at which point all that'd be left is to wrap up all the major plot threads.

When would that be?

Purely depends on how many more breaks Oda takes, since the bi-weekly breaks of many of the current arc's chapters have vastly slowed down it's publication. Assuming he were to work as consistently as pre-timeskip from now (which took about 13 years), then probably around 2023 at the absolute earliest, though given the recent breaks for illness, I'd say 2030 sounds more accurate.

When did he regress? He seems to have grown, if anything.
Ace's death was supposed to wake Luffy up to the dangers of the New World and be a means of maturity, yet Luffy still makes mistakes just as dumb as pre-timeskip. He still has the crew split up on every island they go to, usually leading to him getting captured. He still picks fights with top tiers, even though this was the reason his crew was separated in the first place. Any aspects of growth after the timeskip have been purely surface level.

Could have one of the ancient weapons.
