Maybe it has something to do with the translation, but the wording seems that he's trying to be more ambiguous with Ten's third eye than outright debunking him being an alien. It's also worth noting that the examples from Asian culture he speaks of are almost always only human in outward appearances and are usually gods in Hinduism or Buddhism, of which have often been equated to aliens in modern times.
