Which name for the main cast do you prefer?

So, out of the many names for the main group of fighters, which do you find the best for them and why?

I'd go with Dragon Team. Z-Warriors sounds more catchy, but when you think about it, the term doesn't give any indication about what they do with the Z just standing for that in DBZ; a term only made for the anime for marketing purposes.

I usually go with Z-Senshi as that's what I've always referred to them as. Dragon Team probably makes the most sense though. Either way, did the group ever give themselves a label like that, or is it a fan-made concept?

When I think of the main cast I don't really think of them in any specific name they hold as a group. I just see it as ''the gang''. As far as what I prefer, I'd say Dragon Team as it fits the most. They all sound pretty stupid though in my opinion, at least ten-fold with ''earth's special forces''.

In-series, they didn't, though the term "Dragon Team" was used to refer to them in a chapter title (either around the time they confronted Pilaf or during the Uranai Baba events iirc) as well as the DB Kai episode where the group gathered for the 25th Tenkaichi Budokai. Meanwhile, the term Zetto-Senshi is used in a similar manner as an anime exclusive term in the Japanese title of the Bardock special, as well as maybe one or two DBZ episodes.

Yeah, though the oddity of the "Z-Warriors" term is something that I thought of for a while.

Yeah, I agree that all the terms sound pretty corny, particularly with how the group is far less of a unified group in terms of motivations and priorities than a lot of other Shonen main casts such as, say, the Bronze Saints in Saint Seiya or the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece.

I don't really have a preference. I sometimes use Z senshi although I use Dragon Team as well.

I prefer to call them Z Fighters as it's indeed the coolest sounding name here, specially compared to stuff like Earth's Special Forcers. But technically I shouldn't bother naming them at all as they barely work as a team. They're just a gang of friends who show up to fight when there's a fight, not the Justice League.

By the way, does the Z Fighters/Senshi name comes from any kind of official source? Or is it a fan made name?

Z-senshi gets used a few times across the Z anime, though it's never used in the manga. The term Dragon Team's been used since Part 1, and continues to be used in the Boo arc during the gathering in the 25th Budokai.
