No, it was merely stated that Gotenks powered up from training. The Fusion multiplier shit is just headcanon. Since the Fusion formula would naturally be something like (A+B) x Fusion/Potara boost, any gains experienced by the two halves would be amplified upon fusing.

Considering Goten and Trunks have gotten way minor improvements, it's possible that the fusion boost increased post the RoSaT training.

Yeah makes sense. I don't think they perfected it further either. I used to think that training as Gotenks increased the Gotenks' entity power while the individuals didn't change that much.

Goten and Trunks didn't massively increase their power, but they did massively increase Gotenks' power. He would say that Gotenks (Pre) was an almost perfect fusion. While the fusion of Gotenks (Post Rosat) was perfect, since he had the ability to go from the Base state to the SSJ and even had techniques such as the Kamikaze and also managed to transform into SSJ3

I remember there was this debater on F that made very big posts explaining why Gotenks pre RoSaT wasn't all that and was likely < Fat Boo. I think he danced around the situation way too much but gotta give him creativity credits for writing so much when the situation seems kind of cut and dry.
