If I had to guess, it might not be something that Kaido had experienced himself. Perhaps he witnessed some members of the Rocks crew abandon their captain during their loss at God Valley.

This is just conjecture, but we don’t know for sure if Xebec was a bad guy at all. It’s not like the WG is a trusted source.

Regardless, I think this foreshadows that Big Mom will betray Kaido at some point in this arc.

I like your answer, this could foreshadow Big Mom's possible betrayal of Kaido. She at least has given some signs of it, like smashing Ulti.

I figured it could be WB. Maybe the God Valley incident is when he chose to become a "good guy" and joined Roger/Garp. Idk how else they could win that battle.

Big Mom leaving Wano might be the best option here. She's had almost no trouble so far, and it's just inconceivable for both her and Kaido to fall at this point. Unless someone like Shanks comes to Wano and joins the war, which would suck, I don't see how they can beat the combined Yonkos. I bet she'll steal his poneglyph and then leave.
