Who can beat King?

Leaving out Luffy since it's been established he will be fighting Kaido.

The only possibilities I can see are Kid, Zoro, Sanjiv and Marco. The first 3 would have to power up significantly to win but it's not out of the realm of possibility. Who do you think it will be?

Assuming Marco and King's avian Yonko second-in-command connection isn't something Oda uses as the basis for a matchup, then probably Zoro since, along with his training, the general setting of the Wano Arc and what ties to the country he has are enough for him to deserve at least this much. I doubt Kid would be the one to do so as he doesn't seem to be on that level yet and has far more of a vendetta against Queen anyway, whereas Simpji is still obviously too weak to even offer support (especially when he seems to have abandoned using his Raid Suit).

Idk, I feel like Marco is too strong after the recent chapter.. I guess there's nothing saying that King couldn't be that strong too, but Marco was treated as a guy who had a shot of taking down Blackbeard's crew. I feel like that alone should put him in a class of his own among commanders. Plus we saw him clash with Big Mom last chapter

I agree on Zoro, though he has been making a point of wanting to help Luffy fight Kaido. It seems strange to keep forcing those statements if he is going to fight a battle to the death with King.

Could be Zoro's simply gotten enough of a hax from his training gains that he'd be able to beat King without extreme fatigue in the same manner he did with Ryuma. Might be a bit overboard, though it's possible considering statements Oda's made on OP's progression and how things will be close to the endgame after Wano.

As for Marco, whilst he does seem a fair bit stronger than the other commanders, we do see that King constantly has a fire around his head that doesn't seem part of his DF ability, so perhaps he could utilise that to make Marco's flames his own. Alternatively, Marco could be fatigued beforehand from his fight with Big Mom and lead to a Zoro VS Hatchan situation.
