Who is Luffy's mother?

It better not be that stupid Shonen troupe where his mother is also super powerful, like in Naruto and Bleach (which were both asspulled, BTW). His father being the leader of the Revolutionaries and his grandfather being vice admiral is more than enough.

Naruto's mom wasn't powerful (at least offensively) and Uzukmaki wasn't an asspull. Ichigo's mom wasn't a power house either IIRC.
Oda said in an interview that he isn't sure if he's going to bring in Luffy's mom but if he does she's going to be the authoritative type rather than the attractive princess type.

I doubt Luffy's mother would be an important character. Roger chose Rouge, someone not affiliated with piracy and therefore, not a suspect in bearing his child. That said, I'd assume Dragon, the most wanted man in the world, may make similar decisions.

I don't know who else it could be who's been drawn in the manga, unless she was just on a cover page.
What was the next volume? Which arc? K apparently the next volume was 45 and Garp was shown and maybe Dragon. If it says parents idk if one of his other mother figures was drawn....like maybe the barmaid from back home (elephant island or something?) saw his post-Enies Lobby bounty poster and Oda was referring to that? Unless it was just "parent". Idk how obvious Japanese plurals are.

Not to mention it was only in the very flashback she got a name in that her hometown and clan were ever even mentioned, after which all the redheads in the series except Gaara just got their powers explained by being incorporated into said clan. Ichigo's mom is one of the biggest asspulls in Shonen Jump considering the sheer amount of plotholes that even have to do with that Zangetsu and hollow shit, not to mention even accounts of her death were contradictory.

I wouldn't count Uzukmai as an asspull. You have Nagato's red hair, the fact that they're displaced by war making any character that comes up having their past and future blurred by the rain, along with (using foresight here) the fact that Naruto needs to have Senju DNA or relation to Senju in some form. Wouldn't work if it was all Minato.
For Ichigo was just referring to the fact that Yoshi claiming they were both powerhouses, which IIRC isn't true for Bleach either.

Well, I wouldn't consider it the WORST asspull in the series, but it's as much of an asspull as the entire Hashirama being gawd thing and his clan being the ones to start the Leaf. We already knew he had something to do with Madara due to those two statues at the valley of the end, but him being the strongest Hokage with sage mode was definitely something that didn't exist in Part 1 and got asspulled, along with most of the details about him and his clan's rivalry with the Uchiha. (Hell, we don't even know what happened to all the Senjus except Tsunade, the clan seems to have vanished for no real reason.) Even if he got resurrected once and we knew of his wood release, a whole bunch of things were still asspulled later by the time of his second resurrection (not much unlike this).

I agree with Hashirama to an extent because it was made pretty clear that the 3rd was the strongest and he took on both the 1st and 2nd and still held his own. It was kinda implied that the later generations were getting progressively stronger and the old were in dust. And then we get a 180 where the 1st is the strongest. There was a bit there because of how people were scared of Madara even back in the day but anyway...

Well it's one of those things that had maybe slight hints foreshadowing but later blew up into a big thing. Kakashi already achieving the Mangekyo at 13 was asspulled in part 2 (never even mentions he forgot he awakened that) even though he already said all his loved ones were dead in part 1 for instance. I see things like that as asspulled due to not having sufficient foreshadowing, but I agree to disagree.
