The whole time he wastes fighting Ginyuu, the more time Vegeeta has to kill Gohan and Kurilin. Shouldn't Gokuu have just immediately rekt Ginyuu and Jheese with Kaiouken?

That’s an interesting topic! I think Goku held back because he wanted to test Ginyu’s strength first and not waste his energy too soon. It really shows how smart and calm Goku can be in a fight!

Ginyu is 120k. Goku with 2x Kaiouken is 180k, and he can go up to 10x at this point. He wouldn't be wasting his energy if he immediately rekt Ginyuu. Shit writing famalam

He seemed reluctant to show what he could do ever since arriving on Namek. He stayed suppressed at 5,000 and only used bursts against the Ginyus and then remained suppressed against Ginyu. Goku sensed Freeza upon landing, so I guess he wanted to conserve as much of his power as possible before fighting him. But yeah there's no reason why he couldn't quickly use Kaioken to take everyone out.
