Why did PokéMon Battles stop...

have strategies and stuff? In the anime series, I mean. I remember when I watched when I was young, Ash used his brains a lot to figure things out, and how to win a battle. There are quite a few times I can remember in the old PokéMon, where there was a lot of brain used. That made the battles more EPIC, in my opinion especially when Ash finally figured-out a way to win after being in a losing-battle. Now it just seems attack after attack, with nothing. Kyouks pointed it out, too.

Even-though I also got to say, it seems that every region Ash gets re-set, so to speak, like he loses all of his experience from before and everything he learned.

The battles weren't always great, but you knew a good one would come. But yeah the battles are all just moves now.

Think when Ash fought Lt. Surge. Pikachu got his ass kicked, but then Ash realized that he needed to increase Pikachu's speed in order to have an advantage.

Now its just spamming Thunderbolt.
