Even though Part 5 adds very little in terms of character relations within Part 6 beyond the idea that DIO had children, there are several important aspects to the world building in JoJo that means it can't be skipped, such as the origin of Stands/Stand Arrows as well as giving a more solid idea to how fate works in the series rather than just being a buzzword characters like to throw around (something that would be fairly integral in Part 6 when it comes to Pucci's goals).
