Why do the DBS transformations never seem to win their debut fight?

SSJB - needed Whis' help to win, got cucked by a laser beam
SSJBKK - Goku surrendered
UI Sign/MUI - wore off and Jiren had to be defeated through a team effort. Even needed Oob's help to fully put down Moro
UE - got cucked by Granolah and Gas alike
SSJBE - got cucked by Jiren, was only useful against the second fiddle
"True" UI - Gas overcame it, Freeza cucked Galu in it
Orange Piccolo - got cucked by the actual main villain, didn't even kill the secondary androids

Literally the only DBS form that's won the debut fight would be Gohan Beast. Why is this? It's as if Toriyama is treating the forms' win/loss ratio as badly as the level of effort he puts into their designs lol. Only forms treated this badly in the original Z were SSJ3 and the Grade forms, which were basically failed attempts to become SSJ2 anyway.
