Why I think Goku & Vegeta (pre Vegetto) weren't haxed

Buu considers that Goku hasn't changed ever since then:

Goku shows being nervous smilling and tells Buu that he is using a little item which gives an enormous power-up:

Buu tells as of things he could've said, which means that Buu considers that Goku is acting as an idiot:

Old Kaioshin and Kibito Kai considers that the situation as is now is hopeless:

Only Gohan could beat the nerfed Buu:

Goku said to Vegeta that Buu is now more powered up than before and remembers his past fight as well, which is pointless if Vegeta could've grown stronger:

Goku explains Vegeta why Buu has powered up ever since back then which doesn't make remotely sense if Vegeta had powered up.

After, all things considered I could say that Goku and Vegeta hadn't gained any plot power gain at this point in time and that basically both are implied to be the same ones as when both fought Fat Buu.

Gotenks-Boo flat out saying Goku is the same is interesting. I’ve seen people theorize that Goku got a power up when Old Kaioshin gave him his life, because the lifespan was converted into Genki or whatever.

Dragon Books do say Vegeta powered up, but I think that’s just him having his Majin power without Babidi’s influence.

That's the interpretation that makes the most sense, Vegeta is clearly implied to be the same as when he died by Fat Buu's hands.
