Why wouldn't Kibitoshin be of use against Boo?

So we saw that regular Kaioshin was strong enough to momentarily stun Fat Boo with his telekinetic powers. You'd have to think that the infinitely more powerful Kibitoshin would be capable of much more than that. Couldn't he been of use against Pure Boo?

He could have been, but maybe he’s incompetent at tatakai, so he could have possibly just made the situation worse by getting absorbed.

I don't see why he'd be a far worse option than Vegeta.

The fact that Old Kaioshin thought Boo would bother absorbing him is enough to tell me his abilities can't be that useless.
