They're fine. Mecha's not exactly the best description of NGE though. I just wanna know why people are getting so uppity about me mentioning it. I mean, I guess I know, but I'd rather they actually say something about it.

Probably just because it's considered a classic.
There are "classics" that I don't care for either.
I honestly think most "mecha" anime are boring.
Full Metal Panic was good though. The mecha's weren't non-stop. :-/

I might be weird but if I watch an anime for any length of time, it's because I don't find it of poor quality.
Unless it's so bad it's good/funny. In which case, I saw Golden Boy with Clearin a few years ago when a DB stream decided to take a break for that show. It was so...
