I know there's a lot to explain so just give me Vegeta as an example. What is the difference between the anime and manga levels. Seems that the anime is scaling upwards compared to the manga. Is this through feats and statements, and if so how much???

Anime haxes a lot for no apparent reasons and also 99.99999999999999...99999999999...% of the time doesn't make any sense, much like the DragonBall Z movies actually.

The manga is more reserved about going bonkers with the power-levels like some fan-fic writers (I think Toei might have actually hired fan-fic writers to write for the series, considering all the fan-service).

In short if you want something that makes sense and also is not as outrageous then scale by the manga.

So the kind of foolishness we experienced all during the Boo Saga anime basically? l0l

As for the fan-fic, I think I'd bet all my money in the bank that whoever is writing some of this stuff read the multi-verse fan manga and liked it waaay too much, so you have a solid point there.

The manga has its fair share of powerscaling issues. A lot of people have problems with the shit in the Manga Future Trunks arc. I don't think it's fair to overlook that and say only the anime "doesn't make sense".

Yeah the anime has a tendency to give people free power ups in the middle of battles for usually BS reasons to extend the fights while the manga rarely does so until the end of the Goku Black arc. Examples being Goku's 10x Kaioken boost and Hit's adaptation ability that they introduced to match it, and Black getting powered up every time he's injured (in the manga he could only do so from severe injuries).

As for Vegeta, can't really think of any asspull boost besides SSJ2 Vegeta being magically mutliple times above SSJ3 Goku in the manga, and seemingly getting plot boosted during the final fight in the Black arc. The most egregious offenders of asspull power ups were Goku, Trunks and maybe Piccolo, Gohan and Freeza iirc. There's also Roshi getting godhaxed, but he's still only relevant to base Saiyans anyways

I don't know. There was only one somewhat glaring problem, IIRC.

SG, even Boo Saga wasn't that bad.

You've got that the wrong way around. Hit improved before Goku used SSBKKx10.

The anime is just basically Boo arc 2.0 in terms of power scalings and even worse. :toei

At least in the anime Base Goku and Vegeta don't take an attack from Merged Zamasu meant for Vegito Blue :wtf
