If Dragonball Z was never dubbed, would it still be the same? Would it still have the same impact that it did?

Anime as a whole would be pretty niche if it weren't dubbed. Yu-Gi-Oh's popularity would likely not have been as great and Pokemon would just pass for a Saturday morning WB Cartoon. Maybe we'd have young adult fans comparing Tetsuo from Akira to Vegeta.
