Yo-kai Watch

So many people are saying that Yokai Watch is pretty much the new Pokemon in Japan... I've seen the first few episodes, and honestly it reminds me a bit of Digimon way more than Pokemon. Maybe it's because Bandai is working on the anime or so it seems at least in Japan. Plus the fact that the ghosts pretty much talk, well most of them do and the fact that they are from a different dimension makes me think of Digimon more than Pokemon. Aside from the fact that Keita "collects" the ghosts, it really doesn't resemble Pokemon at all IMO... I think the anime is quite strange, but I like it. I'm thinking about buying the game once it's released here and if I can find my 2DS... :\

Yo Kai is pretty much the new Pokemon because Pokemon is slowly dying due to franchise fatigue. I can't think of anything remotely good that came out of Pokemon recently outside of X and Y, and even that's been ruined by Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Game Freak is going to have to step up their game to compete, because the Anime sure as hell isn't helping, and the Special Manga is way past its prime.
