Thanos will soon invade the Earth in order to retrieve the Mind Stone. Your goal, of course, is to prevent this outcome at any cost.

Thanos' arsenal:

* His armor and sword.
* His entire army.
* The Infinity Gauntlet with all of the Stones (except the Mind Stone, obviously).

Your arsenal:

* Open this link 3 times to get 3 different superpowers at random (don't forget to indicate the powers you got).
* One month of prep before Thanos arrives on Earth.
* The Scepter containing the Mind Stone he's seeking.

The fight will take on Earth, right there.

Can you win?

(advice: using the resources of MCU is encouraged).

Since I got Solar Blade Construction, Fire Transformation and Water Transmutation, I can potentially just turn Thanos into water to retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet and fingersnap his entire army out of existence.

So I got Malefic infusion, Angelic machine manipulation and hydrokinetic flight. A pretty weird combination.

I guess my answer hinges on one thing - Can you recruit more people as part of your prep?

You can indeed.

Invulnerability, Stamina Calling, and Light-Darkness Weaponry. So Thanos just uses the reality stone to defeat me.

YES because I swap all the gems with gumballs.

Beware the Gumball Gauntlet.

Care to elaborate on the powers you had? Because even without taking into account the fact that Thanos is backed up by an entire army, you're still a normal human VS the guy who humiliated The Hulk in a one-on-one fight.

I doubt turning the gems into gumballs would be enough to pull off a win.

Seeing as how the mind stone is in the specter, I'll assume this takes place just before Age of Ultron. That said, the line up of heroes isn't the best when none of them are anywhere near as powerful as they were in Phase 3, Dr. Strange isn't around and it'd take too long to find Scarlet Witch and have her master her power.

That said, I contact Tony Stark, fill him in on the situation with what proof I have and request him to build the two best Iron Man suits he can to deal with this threat. I'll assume that with the dire nature of the situation, he builds two on par with the Bleeding Edge suit in that amount of time, with my Angelic Machine Manipulation being able to harness it to far greater levels than the one that made Thanos bleed. I'd also make sure it was designed with a mechanic that allows me to use hydrokinetic flight on the outside.

When Thanos comes, I charge out to face him whilst The Avengers deal with the army and have Thor use lightning on me. The water would conduct the electricity and I'd have Tony put in a failsafe to protect me as I crash into Thanos, before using the same suit that was able to make him struggle a little in Infinity War and should be comparable to the one in Endgame to overpower him through the amp my ability provides it, or at least stalemate him long enough to have Tony finish the job.

Hmm...idk about it. Couldn't he just use the Reality or Space stones to easily dispose of you?

Possibly, though considering how the fight played out in Endgame against a suit nowhere near as amped up as my ability would make this one, I'd see removing the stones from the gauntlet and preventing him from reclaiming them in time a genuine possibility.

Who said anything about turning the gems into gumballs, I said swap them out for gumballs.

I'd build a device that can freeze time, join his army get close enough then trigger the device & swap out the gems & make a run for it using a portal device to teleport to the other side of the universe.

Dealing with someone like him I'd want time & portal manipulation abilities.

You do realise you can't choose your abilities, don't you? The OP says to click the link three times and you get three random superpowers to work with from it.

Those are gadgets or devices.

Firstly, what powers did you get from following the OP?

Secondly, those devices aren't ones available in the MCU from what information we have right now, so it wouldn't be possible to use them.

I didn't click for the powers cause I wasn't going to rely on them.
2. It didn't say we're only limited to the devices & gadgets available in the MCU.
3. That sucks but i'll click & post later then.

You didn't say we couldn't use devices or gadgets & didn't say we are encouraged but limited to MCU resources.

So you thought, for no earthly reason, that you could just say "Hey, you can just make up whatever gadget I want to win" because there wasn't any rule specifically saying you couldn't? Is that really what you're arguing? Especially when you neither have the knowledge nor the time required to create such a device when even the likes of Tony Stark didn't even come up with this in the movies.

How would you even build that thing?

No because if I did I would've went full on God mode.
So as I said, be clear next time.

Well, you kinda did with your "Gumball" device that you came up with out of nowhere, as well as you deciding to ignore all the rules of the thread. You don't see me making up a third opponent capable of turning the former two into gumballs in the versus threads out of nowhere just because there is no rule stating it's forbidden, for example.

Therefore, I think I was plenty explicit about what I was expecting, especially since neither Captain Cadaver nor Pocket-Gog~ misinterpreted the goal and the rules of this thread as you did, and the fact that you're making excuses and blaming me for your own, blatant loophole abuse makes me wonder if you even intended to reply to this thread seriously.

With that said, I'm done arguing with you about this. In the end, it's as simple as that: you either play by the rules or you don't, but if you don't, you shouldn't bother posting. Are we clear this time?
