Reduced SSJ multipliers

For the people who think SSJ gives less than a 50x boost at any point in the story. Is there any in universe reason for why the boost wouldn't be a constant? Specially when every source ever says SSJ is a 50x multiplier?

It doesn't have to be literally stated in the story. When have the group ever talked about the exact boost in power they received from their Super Saiyan forms? Nobody thought to inform us about exactly by how much Trunks or Vegeta surpassed Super Saiyan in the Android arc. It's no different in any other case.
