Like I commented on Neo, likely the same.

LG seems to be a condensed/directional explosive wave attack meant for short distance
whereas BBA can travel long distances like a typical Ki beam/blast.

The BBA Vegeta used against Eighteen is 1.33x at most.
LG is at least 2x, since Piccolo used it as his trump card instead of SPC, which is 1.8x in my books.

What is there to go off?

Vegeta knew 19 was weaksauce and running away, so had no reason to use a strong attack. Piccolo used his attack on Cell, right? I expect him to use a stronger attack trying to kill someone stronger than him.

BBA also has little charge time and no continuous stream of ki (he releases the attack and doesn't keep putting ki into it), whereas LG took time to charge.

Big Bang Attack might have the same amp as a fully charged Makankosappo, not Gekiretsu Kodan.

I have the same amp for SBC and Light Grenade as Hector apparently.

Didn’t stop him from shitting his pants when Raditz tanked his blast.

I mean how is he supposed to react? “Pfft. You tanked my second strongest attack? That’s nothing. Take this!” (Proceeds to get one shot while charging the SBC)

Not to mention the fact Cell tanked his blast means he’d need a MUCH stronger attack.

I don’t think Vegeta intended to finish off 18 with that blast like he did 19.

So he could’ve killed 18, but just chose not to? It’s not like the BBA needed a lot of charge time.

Yeah, you are probably right. Vegeta does have some time to lay it down and 18 seemed helpless to counteract it. Vegeta is upset it doesn’t do any real damage as well.

It really might be full blast, just without the hype…

Hard to figure this one out but this is a huge issue to figure out.
