Will there be another Pokemon Stadium? How come they've never done it?

Along with couch co-op, they could have online play of just 3D battles. Or is it the case that too many would stick to online battles in the main games, rather than using Stadium?

From what I gather this is Pokemon Showdown but officially licensed by Game Freak. Showdown is a better version of Stadium anyway since you have to ability to use your own movesets, give items, etc.

i think its because there are like a billion types of different pokemons now

because back then during the old days in the 90s there was only 151 different pokemons
