Also @Warmmedown I kind-of watched a series called Heavenly Delusion last year. Forgot to say that too. I don’t think a 2nd season has been announced. It sucked once it came to the ending because I was disgusted, but then again a-lot of this forum LOVES Berserk, sooooooo…

either-way call this a spoiler if you want to but you WILL HATE Zoro by the end of this (seiyuu).

Trigger warning though. I couldn’t look like I normally watch anime because so disgusting IIRC.

Den-noch Coil is going good.

I also forgot to mention I watched some of YAIBA last year for some other reasons. The YAIBA from the early 90s & it is a really bad rip-off IIRC. I’m surprised they didn’t get sued (exaggerated but still).

What does this remind you off (first vol. cover)?:

Exactly. Young Goku & Bulma.

And here I thought YYH was a bad DragonBall rip-off. At-least the author got more original with Detective-Conan.

Also there’s some suspect things in the series that make you go WTF?!?!?! (& disgusted)
That doesn't remind me of Bulma

Is the disgusting violence, sexual or what
You should watch golden boy episode 1 in English. Just episode 1. It's on youtube.

It is, but it’s terrible. Zoro’s seiyuu too. You won’t hear him the same ever again (or at-least for months on end until you kind-of don’t remember as much).

You mean Hijikata's seiyuu?
Check that golden boy, I wanna know if you find it disgusting (it's definitely funny).
Have you sene Asobi Asobase...I dunno if you like those kinds of outlandish comedies.

Indeed.
I’ll see if I can. What are you watching currently?
No. What is so outlandish about it?

It's just really slapstick and over the top and kinda rude sometimes. It's kinda relatable since it's about school activities and the kind of thoughts young people can have, but it's exaggerated for comedy.

I might watch one of the anime suggested in the other thread I made. I'm only watching Weak Hero Class 1 right now, which is live action, based on a manhwa...basically about three teenagers from quite different backgrounds becoming friends and also fighting bullies/criminals. It was exciting, feel-good and generally great for 7 episodes (there are 8 in the first season), until the ending of the 7th was depressing and ruined it for me. I also watched my liberation notes that's about three basically depressed or just trying to make sense of life siblings (plus some other characters) in their 30s (very good, not depressing) and am watching Into the ring (it's pretty good, not as good as the other tho). I think Dandadan was the first anime I watched in several months.
Oh yeh I'm watching Dragon Ball Daima.

They're done airing Knight in the Area again. Well I must say it's a good anime to keep the time going. Like if you're doing something maybe you can have it on in the back-ground. I thought maybe the comedy and at times drama were it at its best though.

For myself if I want to continue the anime ended at chapter 151, so if I want to continue read from chapter 152 onward. By the way the anime got to chapter 151 in 37 episodes even if it skipped a chapter (for sure I think) or two. And yeah, the anime covered less than a third of the manga and it doesn't seem like they'll continue anytime soon, considering when both ended (anime came & went in 2012, last manga vol. came-out in 2017).

You should write about dennou coil. Idk what it's really about or what the themes are.
Watched the series. Great series (if I remember every-thing right as I usually try to do). There’s a-lot of fore-shadowing and things I believe (off the top) that you might not pick-up on right-away until later. And everything gets tied-up later-on in the series. I might have to rewatch the series whilst still fresh in my thoughts. A few sad moments too you know.

The technological jargon/mumbo-jumbo might be hard for you or anyone who isn’t really well-versed in it (me) to follow though but if you try and do your research whilst watching it might not be that hard. I could follow decently well until about episode 23. Deserves a horror-tag for episode 19 alone lol. Very kind-of creepy episode.

The concept of imago was very confusing to me though at-times. At-times I thought it was something that you just naturally had and then other times (like toward the end) it was said as-if it was technology that made it happen.

Also the sub that I watched did not translate writings and that messed things-up for me. How am I supposed to know what’s written in the computer or what-ever if you don’t translate it?

And then there were at-least two episodes where the subs (one episode only about half though) were out-of-synch. One in particular was an episode were things were starting to be explained and exposition so it was doubly hard to keep-up with what was happening.

It’s on Netflix I think.

I mean it’s hard for me, because I try to understand everything (even the technological side, besides I’m more stupid than most). Maybe it won’t be for you. You watched serial-experiments-lain, right? Then why not this too?

There are episodes in the middle though where there is world/character-building though and then goes-back mainly to the plot, but even in those episodes there are bits of fore-shadowing that might make you go “woah” or “now I understand” or if you put this information together with later revelation then yeah now it makes sense.

I like the sense of child-hood. None of that Adult sheeeeet with stress & stuff. In a sci-fi setting. Kind-of like Studio-Ghibli (even art-style) meets sci-fi.

I liked every-thing IIRC except for like one some-thing/episode but every-one else seemed to do.

I know there are people who compared this to serial-experiments-lain, but this at-least on a superficial level at-least up-to about episode 20ish (where it peaked in the comparisons) is more comparable to Digimon-Tamers, such as:
- Digital-beings/space that come-around when it’s foggy (can’t describe it better)
- The idea of sentient A.I. demanding their rights to live. (even-though this doesn’t really happen later)
- those living A.I. coming-from a company long-ago (can’t describe it better right-now)
- Culumon & Densuke kind-of (you’d have to know what happens toward the end to know what I mean)
- Even toward the end, Juri/D-Reaper can be compared to Yuko Amasawa/Michiko-san. Even-though this might be an NGE thing since I always hear this when it comes to that.
I think you’d like this series, but 26 episodes & demands your attention so I don’t know. Also you might cry because I know you cry easier (jk, not really) I wish I’d watch this series sooner (to support you know, even-though I pirated lol).

Listening to JFK talk about President Diem in South Vietnam two months before authorising his assassination is pretty insane.
