Let's say Gohan didn't throw himself in the way of SPC's blast, causing Vegeta to be killed. How does this affect the events of the Boo arc and onward?

The fight SPC vs Gohan is a fight of skill rather than a beam struggle, so Cell probably wins. The end.
If Gohan wins, with no Vegeta around anymore, Buu doesn't wake up.

I think Gohan’s lead was sizeable enough for him to come out on top. Vegeta would probably get revived anyway.
