I think Ifrit Jambe would hurt Katakuri quite badly if it lands. I'm not entirely sure if Sanji can beat Katakuri either, but I strongly disagree that it would go as badly as Pre-FS Luffy did.

Luffy being the one to beat Big Mom makes the most sense narrative wise since they had beef with each other since FI.

Idk, though I will say it would be so trash if Big Mom goes to Elbaf. I'm tired of her and she needs to go down at this point.

But awakening didn't amount to anything against Big Mom. Assuming they somehow beat her, they would need something more than what they already have.

So? They can still get stronger during a fight, not just off screen training.

It would be very contrived if we only see the Straw Hats evolve in their fights but these two who are fighting a Yonko don't.

Durability is not the same thing as resilience. Jinbei, Crocodile, and Luffy were incapable of eliminating those fodder Awakened Zoans.

Awakened Zoans always get back up when knocked out.
