Not deepthroating Dragon Ball and recognising the reality that it isn't very good isn't having such disdain for it. It simply isn't god-tier manga as has been suggested. There are much better works out there.

Mori did essentially say he wouldn't deviate from what he remembered as to be faithful to Miura. I imagine a swift and concise end for that reason. We'll probably speed to the finish now. I personally wouldn't mind if they took liberties and did their own stuff but I understand the reasoning.

I don't have much of an opinion on that in particular, but the art itself to me isn't anything special. It's good, better than most, but I'd say it pales in comparison to those series. I think Junji Ito's work looks much better too.

Have you read Berserk or Vagabond? Even putting aside their stories, the peak art in those manga easily top anything Toriyama has ever done. That isn't even to say he's bad, but it's a different level.

I'm not talking about single panels or pages. I think the entire styling of Part 1 and even Saiyan arc to an extent look much nicer to what Z would eventually become around the Boo arc.

I mention the artstyle because I subjectively prefer the earlier styling of Dragon Ball. Berserk looks great the whole way through, I think.
