100% Freeza tanks a kamehameha from ssj Namek Goku, Goku proceeds to power up which would imply that he could control his ki in ssj form rather than be 100% and not able to control his ki in ssj. Thoughts? lol

Freeza merely struggled with Goku's Kamehameha, and then decided to just fly away from it and strike Goku from the side. He'd probably have been grievously injured had he just sat there trying to tank it.

Not really. He merely couldn't go through it like his bro Cooler could lol. That's all, he wasn't getting injured from the kamehameha because he couldn't go through it. That just implies he wasn't >Kamehameha boost, but not <ssj Namek Goku (Suppressed) as he would have been sent flying by the kamehameha. lol
