Under the current climate on the forum it's come to our attention that we needed to reiterate a few things and make some minor but important changes. First of all, everyone is getting a clean slate under these rules. I'm aware that we have been lenient with things in the past, so I'm not going to hold that against people. But this should serve as a definitive guide as to where we stand and what is acceptable.
1. NO RACISM/DISCRIMINATION.
Racism towards members whether it be direct or implied will not be tolerated. There is simply no need for it and it makes the board look bad. The same goes for discrimination of any other forms. The majority of us are grown adults here, we don't need to be lowering ourselves to this level. Suspensions will be made if this cannot be followed. I understand there can be some leeway in regards to spam/jokes, but the line must be drawn when it's targeting another member.
2. ANTAGONISTIC BEHAVIOUR IS HEAVILY FROWNED UPON.
Similar to how I've said in the past, I'm well aware that debates or discussion can become heated. This is natural and is not the target of this rule. What we are looking for is the intentional targeting of other users for no valid reason. Flame wars will not be tolerated. Warnings or suspensions will be given depending on the severity.
3. AVOID DERAILING THREADS.
Obviously this isn't viewed with the same level of severity as the above two rules. I'm mainly referring to serious threads getting hijacked and derailed by posts that add no value. Use common sense here.
4. PRIVATE MESSAGE ABUSE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Self explanatory. Breaking either of the first two rules in private messages will result in the same consequences. Report any abuse received by PM so it can be dealt with.
5. NO PORNOGRAPHY.
Self explanatory.
The purpose of this is not to turn this board into some hyper serious/strict space. We aren't trying to make the board any less fun. But we need to cut down on behaviours that would turn potential new members off from joining the site. We aren't asking for much here. If you guys have members who you simply can't get along with, use the ignore feature. Let's all act like adults and enjoy the forum!
