Gotsa getchu upta speed den.Ougi said:Newp
From my incompleted respect thread on Infinity said:Disclaimer here, I will do the first part of this soon. But, let me explain why as short as possible. Ultimecia isn't simply the villain we see at the end of the third desk, she had actually made a foothold earlier through Sorceress Edea, Sorceress Rinoa, and then Sorceress Adel. For that reason, Ultimecia's respect thread is actually four seperate respect threads combined since she has all the sorceress power from those three as well as every other sorceress in history.
I'm putting this here so as to remind myself once I get some rest to do this. Also the first part will be the first three sorceresses I mentioned. The second part will be Ultimecia herself. I'll get rid of the non-vital info here once I get the first part here so as to lessen how much wordage is in this thread. Apparently people don't like walls of text lol.
Sorceress Edea
https://www.youtube.com/v/Q3gO-tKNUTI
-3:30 Edea casts a spell that forces Quistis to her knees.
-4:28 Edea casts a rather broad spell that freezes the rest of the party in place until she leaves
-4:35 Edea's spell seems to allow her to phase through walls and be transported to a different location. It would also seem she's able to allow others to use this as well.

-0:10 Edea is seen phasing through solid matter like a ghost.
-1:08 Every single resident of Deling City is entirely under her control through a fascination spell as the Ultimania has suggested. Rinoa too seems to be in a state of control, the lone man next to the podium is the president of Galbadia, Edea does the equivalent of force choking the fuck out of him, then tossing his body to the side like trash after her speech
-1:29 Edea nonchalantly gives life to inanimate objects
-3:00 The stubborn and not much of a giver of fucks (except when he was denied entry into SeeD) Seifer has been taken control of.
-4:25 (This video is done in debug mode so character models not in FMV are not shown, the person supposed to be shown here is Irvine Kinneas, the best sharpshooter in Galbadia Garden, in here he is using a sniper rifle) Stops a bullet in its tracks after it's been fired.
-5:20 A low tier superhuman like Squall is pierced by her blizzara spell and the ground mysteriously is gone. No one knows where it went... like... I don't know if we should count Edea being responsible for that.

-Under Edea's command/control Seifer apparently improved significantly.

-58:40 Rinoa is put into a state reminiscent of a coma due to Edea forcibly passing her powers to Rinoa.
Sorceress Rinoa and Adel (w/ some Ultimecia tidbits)
https://www.youtube.com/v/nKXkVWlEqP0
-25:21 Rinoa after awakening from her coma, is capable of putting a repulsive aura about her that throws people on their asses. A little further and a medical staff comments about Rinoa's strength being unbelievable, so it is either a repulsive aura or Rinoa is flexing some serious physical strength and speed that is fast enough that we can't even see her move.
-34:38 Adel is just so cool here... She's also in the vacuum of space, without a suit.
-43:13 Ultimecia is full on aware of when someone is also having their consciousness being in the past.
A little background info on Adel, she was the one that lead the Sorceress War, a war that had Esthar pitted against the rest of the world.
Typically she phases through walls to other destinations, although I figure she could do the same to any stationary rather large object. The Force Choke took about ten seconds or so to kill the President, the freezing lasted for the better part of a minute or two, the badass aura sent everybody flying off their feet roughly a few dozen feet away. When it comes to what else you'll have to point out what in specific you need pointed out.Ougi said:So like whats the extent to her abilities here? She can phase through stuff, force choke, badass aura, freeze people somehow, and what else?
But if I'm understanding correctly, I should definitely be able to get someone who can take her on
A few challenges. First, Mr. Myxyzptlk is immune to time manipulation. It was once attempted to go back in time to undo the damage he had done, but this was found to be impossible. I dare say that these two remain even on time manipulation.
Second, non of the abilities listed are actually super powers. Everything he can do is actually aided by technology. Non of it is actually magic, just 5th dimension tech that appears to us as magic because of its sophistication. So there will be no stealing of powers by Ultimecia, since they are not naturally his own.
I do not know how he would act if his worst fears were brought forth. I would argue this by way of technically. Have you ever seen Ultimecia probe the mind of an incorporeal being? I say this because, for all purposes, Myxyzptlk is not a human. He really doesn't even have a brain, at least one of flesh and tissue. Can she navigate that sort of mind, one which may exist on a higher plane?
Southern Gothic said:Though the exact limits of Mr. Mxyzptlk's powers are unknown, his power apparently dwarfs that of even third-dimension cosmic beings. During Grant Morrison's Justice League run, the higher-dimensional nature of Mxyzptlk's fellow genies was played to its logical conclusion of possessing power 'two degrees of infinity' higher than any normal beings; one being describes Myxyzptlk as encompassing both time and hypertime in addition to our spatial dimensions. Later, during the Emperor Joker storyline, this is expanded upon: the Joker, possessing the same powers, is able to unweave the very fabric and laws of the cosmos, and render the less powerful than normal Hal Jordan Spectre into a deranged puppet, Mxyzptlk explaining that he has the power to do what the Joker is doing to the world but never uses it because he would run the risk of destroying reality from the strain he would be subjecting it to and thus leave himself with nothing to do the next day.
Southern Gothic said:Let's talk about Myxyzptlk. I'm going to challenge whether or not Ultimecia can get a real psychological advantage, as you posed. I would say no, at least not drastically. While Myxyzptlk may appear to be an oddball trickster, there is more to him than meets the eye. The following is from "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?"
"Did you honestly believe a fifthe-dimensional sorcerer would resemble a funny little man in a derby hat?" Myxyzptlk utters these words after revealing that he was the mastermind behind the events in this story. As he puts it, the hardest part of being immortal is trying to find a way to pass the time. He spent 2,000 years not breathing or moving, just to see if he could. After that, he spent 2000 years doing only good deeds. Following that, he became Mr Myxyzptlk. In truth, he is whatever he wants to be, and is a master manipulator in his own right.
Southern Gothic said:I am not saying he is necessarily smarter than Ultimecia, but rather that she would have a very difficult time trying to exploit him via intelligence.
Southern Gothic said:Let's move on to some more demonstrations of his powers. I want to point to the Emperor Joker storyline. In this, the Joker found a way to get Myxyzptlk's power (it can only he handed over voluntarily ). Once this happened, Joker was able to remake the entire Earth in his image, and did so in exactly 69 seconds. This should demonstrate a bit of how fast and influential these powers are.
I am also going to call in some help. Ultimecia has Griever and goons of the like. So does Myxyzptlk. After the Emperor Joker story, Myxyzptlk regained his powers, but decided to hide away some of the Joker's creations to call upon if ever needed. These include:
Scorch - Pyrokenetic and Teleporter
Gorgeously Gilly (don't ask)
Bizzaro Clone A nearly identical version of Bizzaro.
