Collecting action figures make me feel like a kid again. …but it's an incredibly fun and rewarding hobby.
Wondertoysfan is a online auction site and is a popular place to sell action figures. You can contact me or visit this website if you are intersted.

To answer the thread, for certain people, yes they are. In the same way action figures for most action based fiction in general is worth collecting.

It depends on the type of figure. Many of them retain their value, especially the Japanese releases. Many of the figures I've been watching have only gotten more expensive over the years. Typically, American DBZ figures or promotional releases, keychains, fast food toys et cetera aren't really worth the time, but vintage toys or high quality overseas figures are initially expensive and then only demand more money when they are discontinued. The original Super Battle Collections are a good example of this, so long as they still come with their original boxes (as is the case with most figures).

I've collected a few of the more expensive or rare figures and they are worth far more now than when I bought them.

I agree with you,as an adult, I collect action figures to relive aspects of my childhood to escape from the monotony of adult life. a nostalgia.

Some rare action figures will substantially increase in price over time and owning a number of them could prove to be quite profitable.
