Are swords in the same grade exactly on par with one another?

Not exactly. Shisui is a better blade than Wado currently.

Still, I think your skill with the blade matters much more. Mihawk with a kitchen knife destroyed Zoro.

What do you think about cursed blades? Can they be more powerful in the right hands? Zoro seemed to put value into having one at Loguetown.

I don't understand cursed blades. Why are they cursed in the first place? The last time it seemed to effect Zoro was in Whisky Peak.

Yeah I'm not sure either. I thought it was said that cursed blades have a will of their own, but who knows what that means quantitatively.

Maybe they have leftover Haki from the original wielder. I'm just confused why it hasn't been mentioned in ages.

There's definitely an afterlife in the OP world, so maybe the spirit of the original wielder or forger has something to do with it? His leftover regrets left a trace of his spirit in the blade?
