I've never watched the anime but if it looks like this nobody would have ever watched it.

Maybe a lot of Korean webtoons that became anime would apply, because webtoons usually have a different art style to the typical anime styles.

Eg True Beauty, the anime looks very different to the webtoon.

Also Kimetsu no Yaiba. The art is rather basic in the manga, where-as it's very very elaborate to the point they look rather different out-side of the big page spreads, but then again even those are so well animated that you can barely keep-up in the anime (when it's moving).
