Did Baby Goten get transformed in SSJ2 against Gohan or did he try to do an explotion?

It was just an explosion. Gohan said Goten would kill them both if he kept going IIRC, so that doesn't sound very much like a transformation.

He didn't, though the explosion in progress may as well have be considered the same boost as SS2, given how on average they tend to be above 4x, or even higher in GT (Chaozu VS Nappa, Majin Vegeta's sacrifice, SS4 Goku's Explosion being implied to be > Super Yi Xing Long, etc.)
