Base Gotenks (Pre) Vs SSJ2 Majin Vegeta

I want to give it to Gotenks, but I don't know what to make of his pre-RoSaT base power anymore. With a small multiplier, it's fine. With 50x, it's ridiculous to put him on Super Saiyan 2 level already.

Eh, I myself don't know where to put Base Gotenks (Pre). For fusion characters I go with Base x5 as a multiplier for SSJ and I go with SSJ3 Goku > SSJ Gotenks (Pre) > Majin Buu. I don't think Gotenks exponentially improved from just 2 weeks of training. Doubling his power would be significant improvement which is what I've been going with for a while now. So for now I'm hanging with Base Gotenks (Post) > Majin Vegeta > Base Gotenks (Pre)

Gotenks wins. The fact that he got destroyed by Boo is irrelevant to his power, as there are a number of statements implying that he is still incredibly strong.

Base Gotenks is extremely strong, he's most likely capable of easily taking out Good Buu. I'd put him nearing an Evil Buu tier of power more or less.

Fat Buu > SSJ2 Post Z Gohan > Evil Buu > Base Gotenks > Good Buu

The fusion Super Saiyan boost is directly influenced by your Super Saiyan 3 boost. How big of a boost do you have Super Saiyan 3?

I have 4x for both SSJ3 and fusion SSJ.

I think that Base Gotenks' lead over the Super Saiyan 2s should be larger than SS Gotenks' lead over SS3 Goku.

I don't know, I don't see SS Gotenks dwarfing SS3 Goku, do you? I think Base Gotenks should dwarf the Super Saiyan 2s if you take all of the statements surrounding his power at face value.

Agreed with Mike.

Base Gotenks feels to be on a different tier than the Super Saiyan 2s. His entrance is very dramatic and he's shown as a tremendous ki source.

Super Saiyan Gotenks seems to be on a similar tier as to Goku.

This is going more off of feel more than anything, but that's what I've always went with when I actually followed this chain.

I think Super Saiyan should be 2-2.5 while Super Saiyan 3 should be 4-5.

Well, at the same time Base Gotenks didn't live up to his hype. I think that so long as he surpasses the SSJ 2s, it isn't really a big deal by how much. My numbers:

SSJ2 Goku: 100
SSJ3 Goku: 400
Base Gotenks: 120
SSJ Gotenks: 480

You will also run into the issue of Base Vegetto > Gohan Boo if you run a 2-2.5x multiplier. I don't think it's an issue, but many disagree with that notion.

Gohan shouldn't be that close to Fat Buu. 83% absolute max. I generally put a max of 88% for Gotenks and Goku, but it's possible to do this.

This actually looks pretty sweet. I prefer Gotenks and Goku closer, but this definitely is doable.

What's wrong with Gohan being 90% of Fat Boo? I think at 83% Goku wouldn't have any doubts of Gohan losing to Boo.

Yea I saw it before you deleted it.

Goku more or less dismisses Gohan's chances against Buu. He does have to think about it, but at the end of the day, he's dismissed and it's not really thought of again.

Gohan should be getting within range, but clearly not rivals. Or at least that's how I interpret the scene. Imagine someone telling Goku that nah, he's better off staying away from the battle vs Cell. ( Before the real speed stuff is an issue )

That would be quite ridiculous, Goku was able to put up a pretty decent battle. So, all in all, I think Gohan can't really do that. It's not worth sending him. Goku thinks Gotenks is going to wipe the floor with Buu and Gohan going there wouldn't do anything.
