Best and worst Logia on a ship?

Which Logia do you think would be the best and which the worst for battles on a ship sailing on the sea? A battle on the ship or a ship vs ship battle.

I'm thinking strongest ship vs ship is magma, if the magma can go through the sea. But if not, then I'd say lightning is strongest, even without Mantra/Perception. You can set fire to a ship, plus you can zap everyone at once and move to their ship to melee attack anyone who has haki. You can also zap the whole ship and make things hot to touch, so they can't use their weapons properly.

On your own ship probably lightning again.

If you're on the enemy's ship and trying to escape to your own ship while doing as much damage as possible, I think sand might be the best. You could just destroy the whole ship.
