I don't think M8 is canon to M10. M8 Cell is nowhere near to be found, but M10 Goku is dead.

Neither does your's. The entire M8 timeline is a mystery left up to assumption with us grasping at straws to determine a clear scenario. Trying to dictate that one interpretation of Broly's strength (your's) is entirely the truth and any opposing idea is false. The logic of "Each Movie villain is stronger than the last" isn't solid either, as not only does one of Toei's staff contradict this by stating Janemba > Hildegarn because of their performance against Goku, but by that logic Bio-Broly > M10 LSSJ Broly as the two are separate entities and therefore different movie villains.

Don't know why you're so obsessed with such an arbitrary discussion point as a movie villain to the point you latch on to any topic revolving around him.

If anything, wouldn't that point to M8 LSSJ Broly >> M10 SSJ Broly? After all, being comparable to his peak power from the previous movie whilst in a lower form would just show Gohan Broly was far more powerful than before.

Gohan was able to put up some level of defence against his transformed state whilst his 3 henchmen were attacking him, before their combined power overwhelmed Gohan. From this, there's two routes to go.

1. Gohan got a momentary rage boost and Super Bojack is far above CG SSJ Gohan. I'd still say he should be significantly below FP Perfect Shello though, seeing as how the latter wasn't ripped through by SS2 Gohan's punch.

2. Gohan was already far weaker than his CG self, as suggested by Roshi saying either Trunks or Gohan would win the tournament despite Gohan >>> Trunks at the Cell Games and Vegeta putting up a better performance against Bojack than either of them did (and having gotten no stronger than at the Cell Games due to having quit fighting) prior to Gohan's moment of taking on the villains 4 on 1. His rage/resolve boost brought him back to his Cell Game level, placing Super Bojack below his Cell Games self, but still far above his Boo Arc SSJ self and Cell Games SSJ Galu. The drop in strength could make sense if assuming the movie was going by the manga timeline of Future Trunks killing his timeline's Cell 3 years after returning to the his time.

Whichever route works best for you, I guess.
