Yeah, as pretty much everyone has said in this thread, this doesn't put a cap on Broly's strength whatsoever when the idea of it doing so relies on twisting the evidence to add context that isn't there or is, at best, very vague. Firstly, the source never points out a specific Grade 3 and only says his power far surpasses that state, which can just mean LSSJ > SSJ Grade 3. If anything, that vastly raises the cap for Broly when considering what some sources have to say on it (one guidebook saying it offers a 10x boost, Super alluding to it having more raw power than SS2, etc.). Moreover, this only works to "prove" Pakl's idea of the M8 timeline (something I'd be confident in saying no member of Toei's staff put such thought into) if we were to assume FPSSJ offers a greater boost than Grade 3, which is nigh impossible going by official sources stating SS2 is only twice the power of SSJ.
Furthermore, even if we were to assume Broly's power is indeed being compared to Grade 3 Trunks/Goku, that still doesn't place a cap on him. Grade 3 Trunks' physical comparison to LSSJ Broly is obvious enough to be used as a benchmark even if far from Broly's limit, especially when comparisons to the Dragon Team had already been made in the film by the fight and Kaio, leaving the only other points of comparison for the guidebook to draw from being Cell or the SS2 state.
