They were trained to deter any threat.
Why wouldn't they finish the boys?

Well the Jr that punched Trunks in the face didn't finish him, though I'm not sure if Jrs can sense Ki.

Because it all happened too quickly. How long you think it took them to see the obvious badge on their arms?

Come to think of it, why were Goten and Trunks even brought if the Jrs were protecting the island? Doesn't 17 say the island will be unprotected without him?

Yeah, I'm not sure if the kids got a lot stronger in the RoSaT. I used to think no. The focus is only on Gotenks' gainz.

I thought so too. I'm just entertaining the idea that Base Kids Pre are many times below Gohan while simultaneously being capable of defending against multiple Cell Juniors after the Rosat. I used to think they were at least on par with the Cell Jrs prior but my discussions with Feats made me reconsider.

Piccolo seemed to hold them off decently and he's what, several times below Base Kid Gohan?

Throwing arms with someone isn't a big deal, specially in Super. Even in DBZ we'd have someone much weaker trading blows before losing sometimes.

Basically, the logic here is that Goten and Trunks should win in a 2v2 because they were losing on a 2v7. This doesn't make sense.

It's implied by Cell's statement that he was never holding their own. In the case of the kids, the only thing we have to go by is them throwing hands against the Cell Jrs. without ever being dominated.

And in all of those cases, the weaker fighter is evidently dominated. No such thing happened with the kids. Just take the scene as it is.

Taking the scene as it is would mean admitting it's inconclusive, my child. You're just seeking validation.

The Cell Jrs aren't using a ton of effort, they most likely could easily overwhelm the boys if they were really trying.

The boys are using their full effort and barely scraping by while the Cell Jrs are just toying around. The scene doesn't last long to see a final outcome.

Do you think the kids powered up massively in Super considering they can keep up with Cell Jrs now?

Before they were below Piccolo's power, now they are without a doubt way above Piccolo's power are they not. Or at least Piccolo's old power.

The last DBS chapter tells us DBS Boys >>> Z Boys, so I think it’s definitely possible now.

What happened now with the boys that says that?

I think this is our answer then @GreatSaiyaman123

This has been the solution to a lot of our problems.

The boys have been all over the place implication wise.

They are only around 18, then the adults are way above Piccolo but then the boys are near the adults but only at Cell Jr level.

It only will work if there is a huge upgrade over the years. It doesn’t seem to occur at BOG but when everyone else is getting huge power ups looks like they got a moderate one.

This is actually getting interesting now.

Their teamwork gives Cell MAX some trouble. It’s stated Cell was far from FP since he just woke up, but it’s still pretty impressive. Gamma 2 was impressed and he called Piccolo trash.

Trunks also says Piccolo is in trouble when he finds out he’s fighting the RRA because even he and Goten struggled with the new Androids, but I think Trunks knows the androids he fought were just prototypes.

Also when asked if they’ve trained, it’s said they just slacked 6 months because they were grounded. I think this suggests they weren’t slacking before being grounded.
