Not the Boo saga, but I'd change those "I decided to increase my speed" to "I decided to increase my power"... Freeza against Vegeta only mentioned a speed increase, as well as Cell against Gohan, which just turns everything more complicated than it needs to be and cast doubts upon people's minds.

There's no reason to be complicated though. Vegeta states, when I increase my power, doesn't my speed increase? Why would a fighter only increase their speed and not their power? Doesn't make sense.

When Freeza notices that Vegeta is capable of somewhat keeping up with him, he ramps up his speed, do you think his power wouldn't follow? What's the point of that. It's just naysayers always trying to nerf shit all the time. Can't listen to them. They don't care when Freeza says that do you notice, but oh dear god, when Cell says it, it suggests that poor ol Goku isn't as strong as they thought and we can't have that.

But didn't Ten only increased his speed against Goku?

I think there's a misconception here, when someone increased their power then that mean their speed as well but when someone increased their speed, it doesn't include their power at all. Beerus also increased his speed against Goku but his power remained same.

Exactly ahill. When specifically mentioned that they will not increase their power, then it's only speed. If only speed is increased, assume both.

The reason speed is talked about in the cases of Freeza and Cell is because speed is the issue. You guys have to start paying attention to the context better.

Vegeta is bragging about keeping up with Freeza's speed. Freeza says ok, let me increase my speed then. If he said I'll power up, it doesn't have the same effect.

Cell is getting made a fool of because he's so slow. He tells Gohan he wills increase his speed because his speed is the issue at the time. Clearly if Cell and Gohan's speed and power are balanced and Gohan can avoid him that easily, what the fuck can Cell's power to to Gohan's? Not much.

You do realize that even though he's as fast as Gohan now, Cell's punches are going to do jack shit. He would be too weak. BOOM!
