Could Luffy bleed pre Haki?

When Blackbeard hit Luffy for the 1st time, Crocodile acts surprised with Luffy bleeding... but didn't Luffy defeat Crocodile with his own blood? The blood shouldn't come as a surprise.

I don't remember that, but didn't Luffy bleed in Alabasta because he got cut/stabbed? That's different than bleeding from a punch.

That's the same thing. He could only bleed if he was struck by sharp objects.

Luffy bled from Bellamy slamming his head through the table, even-though more than likely it was the shards cutting him since initially the blood/injuries seemed very minor.
