With Zoro edging closer and closer to Yonko level, is he capable of beating Marco now?

I say yes as long as he finishes it quickly not giving him time to heal himself.

He's really only on that level while in Asura. Even if he lands an attack Marco would quickly just heal from it. Zoro loses imo.

I'd argue he's on that level with Enma now. Before using Haoshoku, his attack was strong enough to kill Kaido - causing Big Mom to yell at him to get the hell out of the way. Marco would have to be fast enough not to get hit by a single slash..

No it wasn't. His strongest attack (Asura) wasn't even capable of knocking Kaido off his feet. Generally speaking his feats pre Asura aren't much more impressive than what the 9 Scabbards accomplished.

What lol. His attack cut off a huge part of Onigashima. Big Mom clearly could tell that attack was the real deal or else Kaido could have tanked it. When did Big Mom ever show such worry when the Scabbards attacked Kaido?

He basically did a similar feat against Pica. I'm not saying Zoro is as strong as the Scabbard 9 I'm just going by the damage he caused against Kaido. Fact of the matter is that Zoro's attack against Kaido while in Asura was his maximum potential at that point, which only gave him a scar. He literally said that it was his best attack.

I'd say the circumstances are different though. The difference being that Kaido wasn't expecting the attack while in his Dragon form, and Big Mom's reaction made it seem like he wasn't putting up a defense. His body alone had been resilient enough to take on everything the group had thrown at him up to that point. Zoro used Asura against the Hybrid form (arguably the strongest form), and Kaido was expecting the attack. I think that makes a pretty big difference. I'm not saying Flying Dragon Blaze was stronger than Asura, but it was definitely the next strongest attack while Zoro was still fresh.

If it hit than it would cause damage, sure. Actually killing him is a different matter which I don't believe is really suggested. If you believe that then you'll have to admit that Base Zoro would beat G4 Luffy. I agree that Kaido's pure dragon form seems to be the weakest and was off-guard which makes the feat less impressive than you're making it out to be.

If Zoro learns to use Asura for a longer duration than it's possible he could win but as of now I just don't see it.

Yea it might've been a bit much to say it would've killed him, but there's no denying it was a huge threat. Big Mom viewed that as a larger threat than any attack that Luffy/Kid/Law had displayed. I also don't think it's too farfetched for Zoro to be at least on G4 Luffy's level at least offensively now. Enma is implied to multiply Haki so he wouldn't have to be on that level to produce attacks above it. And given that Zoro was still able to produce his strongest possible attack after taking a combined attack from two Yonko, he very well could be Luffy's equal discounting Haoshoku coating.

I mean Zoro and Luffy just have different fighting styles. Zoro is more cutting and Luffy is more about blunt force damage. It's possible that Zoro could have done more damage against Kaido with his Flying Dragon Blaze more than G4 Luffy's King Kong Gun for example due to the nature of the attack. I think the point was that Big Mom and Kaido were both severely underestimating all the Supernovas in general. I don't think it necessarily proves Zoro could defeat even G4 Luffy without Asura.
