Watched it last night. In the information overview given by the narrator, Goku is referred to as the strongest ultimate fighter or something to that extent. Is it fair to say that he's the top dog in this continuation or is this contradicted later on?

I figured I'd wait until a significant amount was out. Really wasn't wanting to watch this week to week lol

So what's the consensus, does it follow the anime or manga, or is it completely separate?

Consensus was manga because Toriyama was involved, but in hindsight I think it’s anime. There’s too much Toei for this to be 100% AT.

Before the last 3 episodes or so I'd have said so, but after that dumb pseudo-SSJ4 nonsense and the retarded giant planet and whatnot, not really.

The Megath? What’s the problem, they’re too OP?

It scales down the magnitude of the conflict when tertiary characters could wipe the floor with the main villains no problem, plus the whole episode was just an excuse to pad the already shirt 20 episode runtime. some kid being able to scare galaxy level dudes shitless because he's huge sounds lame too and indeed was.

Got up to episode 6 last night. It's painful having to sit through boring exposition dumps and just terrible plot progression per episode.

I liked episode 6 though. Minotaur should have joined the group lol.

It's more interesting than Super, as of ep 4. It's like an an RPG isekai. Only Vegeta's cooking show matches this.

The name mispronunciation is cliché and not how I remember Goku. It's like flanderisation, except it wasn't even his trait.
How come Goku accidentally made the power pole extend in the spaceship/plane? That was silly.
