So, a fair few things occurred this episode.

- Whis' transportation is yet flung into debate. In episode 2 and one of the guidebooks, it was implied to just be Shunkan Ido-esque teleportation, yet his statement about his speed implies it's pure speed. That's a hell of a boost to the God tier characters if the latter is true.
- Kuririn and #18 strapping Marron in the baby seat despite her being at least 7 by this point? What good parents. ^o)
- Guess based on the bathroom scene, Beerus' anatomy's a bit more humanoid than we thought, if you know what I mean.
- The statement at the end I found fairly funny. Beerus destroying the universe isn't mindblowing under the one bit at a time context, but it'll be funny to see people use it to prove the DB verse has universe busters.
- "Super Seiya God" made me chuckle. Beerus is going out of his league if he's thinking of challenging someone like that. ;)

I hope episode 4 is able to cover more than just Goku VS Beerus and the Pilaf side story, especially since we won't be seeing this for 2 weeks.

Did anyone notice the change in style in the Preview for episode 4? The outlines were much thicker there. At first I thought it was just a sort of cartoonish effect for the likes of Pilaf and the gang but then Beerus and Whis also have them in the preview as well.

King Kai's voice is hilariously horrible in Japanese. I can't get over how unemotional it is while the animation is full of emotion.

This is playing out like the movie with only minor changes. What is the point of this?

I've made the point in DBZf but honestly, I know Kaio-Sama's voice actor is in his 80s but seriously, did it not occur to them that maybe...just maybe, they should change it up? I was under the impression that Japan took its voice acting very seriously.

Funimation had something similar with Linda Young. From what I remember they brought her in for Kai and she just couldn't keep up with the dialogue so they brought in Chris Ayers. Something which amongst other reasons was a good idea but the point was that Funimation knew Linda Young was no longer capable of performing like she did before.

So instead of trying that, they instead got someone more capable.

I'm under the impression that the Japanese actors for DBZ have signed their soul away and must forever voice act their character until the day they die.

It's not too often in Japan that the experienced veterans, no matter how inept they may have become in old age, get fired I believe. The guy that voiced Piccolo Daimao/Kami was only removed from Kai when he had serious health issues that eventually took his life, so under less extreme circumstances such measures aren't taken.

I was going to comment on Kaio-sama's seiyuu at some point too. He used to be a lot better in presenting emotion in previous material, so it must really be a sign that age is getting to him. He's also the narration of the series, so that much work on the DB Series for decades, along with work on many other series, must have taken it's toll.

Looks like the Saiyan King was officially named in this Episode, assuming the translation I watched was accurate.
