Hands down the funniest anime show I've watched in a while. I believe Prison School was the last show I laughed my fucking ass off at. Absolutely fucking hysterical.

Then, most of the fighting sequences were so fucking sick, man. Pure awe and euphoria.

I didn't imagine it being funny. I guess most battle shounen anime aim for some goofy humour though (Vinland Saga doesn't). One Piece was straight up hilarious in the first half, on par with any comedy anime.

Thise combat scenes look way better than I expected. Definitely visually above any anime fighting I can think of.

Mob Psycho had some very funny bits, but mostly just humorous and not hilarious (couple exceptions). The last anime show I found outright hilarious was Asobi Asobase (it's like a much funnier, more absurd version of Daily Lives of High School Boys). I have seen Prison School, which was very funny sometimes, but it was slightly hard to watch because the situations and characters are so cringe (a word I almost never use). It just feels wrong - intentionally, of course. Kyo has read the Prison School manga I think.

Yeah, I read the Prison School manga up to a point. It started to really jump the shark after a while, remaining absurd but losing out on the creativity and unexpected coherency it had earlier on, but it was very funny for a good while. The writer is (or was) clearly very talented. The anime did not get very far into adapting the manga, so it's mostly just good.

Saiki is pretty funny. Gintama obviously. I also agree with wolf's other mentions. Nichijou and Azumanga Daioh are alright. Hinamatsuri is really good. These are primarily comedies so we've gone a little off-track here but whatever.

I read Demon Slayer (haven't watched it) but I wanted to knock Zenitsu's teeth out, quite frankly, sorry. I'm not opposed to loud and/or borderline immature humor (most anime humor is one or the other if not both, really) but his "humor" was cringeworthy and totally disjointed from everything around him (to me, obviously). Completely unwelcome distraction imo. I cannot imagine having to actually listen to his screeching, but I'm glad that it works for others (he is by far the most popular character in Japan, so make of that what you will). Inosuke was a little better but still. There were other funnier jokes -- the buff mice were a much funnier and more creative gag.

Negativity about the humor aside, the paneling for the fights was creative. Obviously the anime kicks it up a notch (or 20). Tanjiro is a decent protagonist.

I watched the Anime and it followed too many Shonen troupes that didn't fit its particular Shonen genre. I don't understand its popularity outside of the high quality animation.
