Did GT Gohan lose his Ultimate power?

Gohan turned SSJ in GT, whereas turning SSJ would give him no benefits after Elder Kaioshin power up in DBZ.

Keenoodle was arguing that because Gohan turned Super Saiyan, that in itself pretty much proved he wasn't Ultimate anymore by the concept of Ultimate being, well, the best Gohan's gonna get.

Unless I hideously misunderstood his argument, which I'll accept since I skimmed the whole thread looking for where I posted, which I didn't.

I used to think he enhanced the mystic form in my head-canon but Gohan is obviously a chump after his :1down beat down, even my wife said he lost mystic and she doesn't even give that much of a shit about it.
