Well we can assume they did considering how long they've had the ability.

Not during the Cell Games IMO. They toughen their body than resting it which is completely opposite of mastering it.

Some people think they mastered SSJ at the Cell Games, because they didnt fight in their bulky ASSJ forms. :idk

Their gains were pretty abysmal the 2nd time around compared to Goku and Gohan going in once, and Trunks fell out of SSJ after fighting the Cell Jr. so I'm inclined to say no. Semi-mastered at best imo.

They prob tried to train their way back to ssj since they made gains ie muscle gain. So not there, but were in the process of reaching mssj. Lol

Yeah, I dunno, semi hard on MSSJs, chubSSJ If you will, seems to fit well considering they didn't even try to go ASSJ.... Or, ya know, not important to the plot, so not acknowledged. Either or.

I do believe Vegeta mastered it before going SSJ2, and I also believe Vegeta could go SSJ2 prior to Majinization, just was weaker than Gohans SSJ2, which logic would lead me to say his MSSJ was weaker than Gohan's as well at whatever point he attained it before going SSJ2.

I see no reason for why they wouldn't have after seeing Goku and Gohan exit the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. I think that they worked on mastering Super Saiyan, but they didn't try retaining it as a base form like Goku and Gohan did.

They certainly did not, as they were Piccolo-level fodder. I'm sure Vegeta never mastered it either and went straight to obtaining ssj 2. Unless he achieved it only with majin. :et

I still fail to understand why they didn't use Super Saiyan Grade 2 against the Cell Jrs to one-shot them and to help Piccolo with his Cell Jr. right away. Vegeta managed to maintain his Grade 2 transformation for what must have been a dozen of minutes when he fought Semi Perfect Cell with no visible strain, and Trunks was on par with him. I think this is a major case of PIS.

Maybe the Cell Jr.s can also go buff. Cell himself could, after all :cage1

Maybe, but Cell yelled at them to stop playing around and they didn't go buff.

Unless their "buff" form is like SSjin Grade 2 instead of Grade 3.

I never used to think so, but during my last re-read I was swayed into believing Vegeta did during the CG and Trunks too because of his aura when he powers up to fight the Androids upon returning home. Perhaps it isn't as "mastered" as Goku's or Gohan's due to them actually training together while Vegeta was stubborn and trained by himself which handicaps himself and his son. I don't know why Trunks didn't think to use Piccolo as a partner in the RoAsT, I imagine he could've made much better gains.

Or their body didn't get much time to rest like Goku and Gohan?

They must've started to work on it, if not by CG then Vegeta surely would've mastered it by the Boo arc. Would be stupid if he didn't.

^^ This too. Vegeta fully comprehends what Goku and Gohan did in the RoSaT, complements it, and even explains it to Trunks. It would be silly for them not to follow suit, especially considering they didn't use their Grade 2 or 3 forms at the CG.
