Do you see SSJ2 as the right way to access grade 3 kinda power?

SSJ2 Gohan 330

That's what I roll with currently. SSJ2 is normally a 2.5x boost, but Gohan, due to an extra rage boost push, got a 3x one.

The only way I think this could work is if SSJ2 equals only Grade 3 in power. There’s no way SSJ2 would be as strong as Grade 2 and Grade 3 stacked.
