Do you think the fight against Freeza happened too soon?

Freeza was introduced as a being with 530,000 units of power. Obviously nobody should be ready to face him at the point the fight against him started. Instead of magically increasing everybody's power, AT should have delayed the fight somehow and make the group's powers increase in a more plausible manner.

For example, when they sense Freeza approaching, they ride the ship and go to another planet to hide. Then a few weeks or months pass before Freeza finds them. During that time, they all train. That explains the following increases:

-Vegeta: From 60k to 500k
-Gohan-Krillin: From around 25k to hundreds of thousands
-Goku: From 90k to millions

Goku could isolate himself somewhere to train alone and it takes him some time to rejoin the group, so there is time for the others to fight as in canon and Freeza to transform all the way to his final form.

In a way, yeah. Even the gap between Third Suppression Form Freeza and Ginyu alone is too much.

I think if they ran away with the Dragon Balls Freeza would just blow up the planet. Just have Molestation Master Guru unlock Vegeta's potential somehow and call it a day. Goku's insane zenkai can be explained (rather haphazardly, but it's the best explanation) by saying he sensed the Ki of post-Dende zenkai Vegeta and initial 4th form Freeza and his body adapted.

Which is what he did in the end. It wouldn't have affected the plot. Freeza blows up the planet and goes to find the Z-fighters.

But then how would they revive the Namekians his men killed? There wouldn't be enough wishes.

After making the first wish (reviving Piccolo), Guru dies and the Dragon Balls turn into stone. Sensing Freeza is too close, the group flees to another planet, where Piccolo joins them later. I still don't know how he travels from King Kai's planet to that planet, but anyway, let's also say that on his way there, he finds a Namek somewhere and fuses with him.
The battles against Freeza happen as we know them. Then the group figures out the right combination of wishes to restore Namek and its residents.
